Peter Patzt, postdoc
Peter Paztz startede den 1. juni 2020 som postdoc ved GeoTop Centeret samt sektionen Algebra & Geometri.
Peter modtog sin ph.d. ved Free University Berlin i april 2017 under vejledning af Holger Reich. Før han kom til København, var han ansat som postdoc ved Purdue University, USA.
Peters fortæller om sin forskning: “It lies within algebraic topology and is concerned with the cohomology of groups in sequences. Often stability phenomena under the names of homological stability and representation stability occur. I'm particularly interested in the cohomology of arithmetic groups and applications to algebraic K-theory and number theory.”
Peter var gæsteforsker her på instituttet i sommeren 2017. I efteråret 2019 talte han over “The second homology of the Torelli groups” på et af vore topologiseminarer.
