Sho Tanimoto, ny postdoc
Sho Tanimoto ankom til MATH/KU den 1. juli 2015 som postdoc finansieret af Lars Hesselholts Niels Bohr professorat.
Tidligere var Sho GC Evans Instruktør på Rice University (Houston, Texas) i tre år. Han tog sin ph.d. fra Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences, New York University, under ledelse af Yuri Tschinkel og Fedor Bogomolov. Tidligere fik han sin MSc samme steds, og sin BSc fra Tokyo Institute of Technology.
Shos beskriver sin forskning således: ”My research is primarily in the areas of algebraic geometry and arithmetic geometry, in particular diophantine geometry. I use birational geometry such as the minimal model program as well as analysis such as automorphic representation theory to study the distribution of rational points on algebraic varieties.”
