Award to mathematician for best PhD thesis

Manuel Krannich today receives one of the three awards awarded by the SCIENCE Faculty for the best PhD dissertation of the year (submitted in 2018). He receives the award for the thesis "On characteristic classes of manifold bundles", supervised by Nathalie Wahl, Department of Mathematical Sciences.

New Quantum Master of Science Pilot Project

The Departments of Mathematics, Physics and Computer Science run a pilot project which may eventually lead to a future joint Master of Quantum Science (QMSc). The pilot project starts in the Fall term of 2019. Four mathematical talents

Albert H. Werner, Postdoc in quantum information at the Department of Mathematical Sciences, University of Copenhagen, has received 10 million DKK from the VILLUM Young Investigator Program.
